Regional Technology Manager

Responsibilities/ Accountabilities of the job:

- Accountable for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of OT assets by imple-menting and maintaining security controls, engaging in proactive threat assessment, mitigation planning, and security trend analysis.

- In cooperation with Global manager OT systems and Global IT, coordinate and carry out OT security incident management lifecycle including preparation, detection and analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery.

- Accountable for gap analysis and regular audits of OT environments to ensure compliance with company security requirements and industry security standards.

- Accountable for complex and speedy troubleshooting to minimize any security threats to the company¡¯s OT assets.

- Help manage and maintain OT systems, build, image and deploy machines virtual and phys-ical related to DCS and other 3rd party applications.

- Expected to support OT software applications (Including License Management in conjunction with Global IT), such as Historians (AspenTech IP21, OsiSoft PI), LIMS (Labware, Labworks Siemens), Distributed Process Control Systems (Honeywell, Emerson, ABB, Yokagowa), Advanced Process Control (AspenTech DMCPlus), Reliability & Operational Systems (Operational Rounds) and Logistic Management Systems (iMES Systems). Manage network performance monitoring software along with system and data backup software which work in conjunction with the DCS systems in data collection, point configuration, or assuring reliability of various processes.

- Manage Local and Regional OT Hardware to include Servers (Backups, Systems Disaster Recovery, Systems Business Continuity) and Clients (Handhelds, Barcode Scanners, Printing Solutions)

- Proactively work with Lead Process control engineers and other discipline engineers to ensure the systems are accounted for in their individual project scope and execute as per project schedule.

- Expected to lead the OT backup and disaster recovery plans for the site.

- Work with Global Technology Manager OT systems on OT application licensing and asset management inventory for systems on-site (Assets to include all OT assets).

- Serve as a system administrator for all DCS applications in the region and perform all necessary activities of a system administrator to ensure high availability of systems and applications.

- Work with DCS Systems support and other Applications customer support to resolve system and application issues as needed.

- Work with the site network administrators to manage the site OT network architecture and keep up to date. Responsible for identifying reliability issues and recommending solutions for system improvements.

- Guidance and support of sites on capital projects including equipment selection, installation, configuration, start-up, checkout, and supervision of personnel contracted for specialized equipment installation. Assure Capex guidelines and FEL1/2/3 phases are followed. Lead the validation of a proposed design by review of detailed work packages for E&I, P&IDs, vendor packages, etc. Verify and approve the E&I design guidelines developed by the engineering companies during basic and detailed engineering. Develop codes and standards for projects at green field sites.

- Support the plant E&I Engineers and project engineering teams and develop the design on process control & automation: overall system architecture, control and emergency shutdown philosophy, guidelines for instrumentation and process analysers, DCS design, PI, Historian and QA/QC review plans for key electrical equipment and instrumentation.

- Assure accuracy and efficiency in vendor/equipment selection. Support the E&I project engineers to define technical requirements and specifications to procurement and vendors. Preparation of Technical Bid Comparison for instrumentation/services in conjunction with procurement and project team.

- Maintain a global network and contribute to global network with E&I engineers at sites and regional, project teams, engineering companies, vendors and key equipment suppliers. Travel (20% to 40%) to regional production facilities, suppliers and equipment manufacturers as required.

 


Required profile:

Level of education & Knowledge:

- Master degree in E&I Engineering / computer science/  information systems, engineering, or relevant work experience in IT and/or OT.

- Relevant experience of minimum 10 years on Process Control and Automation, with 5 years¡¯ experience in project execution and/or maintenance.

-  Industry certification in security and/or network security (e.g. CISSP, CISA, CCNP Security, CCNA) – highly desirable.

- Strong English communications skills required.


Experience in general:

- Solid understanding of IT and OT infrastructure, services, and standards

- Knowledge of engineering contracting and project execution contracting/strategy.

- Preference for individual who has managed one or more major capital projects from development through start-up
